Plutôt inconnu du grand public dans son pays, Gianmaria Testa est un des chanteurs italiens les plus précieux et les plus appréciés. Il a donné plus de 2000 concerts en France, Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique, Canada et aux Etats-Unis. Mais comme souvent, nul n’est prophète dans son pays.
Pourquoi ? Surtout à cause de la nature réservée de Gianmaria Testa, mais aussi parce que des mécanismes étranges régissent la musique en Italie. Exemple : si le vrai métier de Paolo Conte est celui d’avocat - ce qui surprend toujours les français - celui de Gianmaria Testa est tout aussi étonnant, quoique ( les voyages) ; il est le chef de gare de Cuneo, sa ville, tout près de la France, en Italie.
Après une première présentation de son dernier album « Vitamia » à l’Alhambra de Paris fin janvier dernier, Gianmaria Testa donnait un concert vendredi 3 février au théâtre de Pertuis, dans le Luberon, relaté par ces photos.
Cinq ans après "Da questa parte del mare", consacré aux migrations modernes, les onze chansons de « Vitamia » synthétisent cinquante années de ses réflexions personnelles, soit dix huit mille jours - titre d’une des chansons de l’album-, pour une fresque humaine et sentimentale aux nuances et couleurs musicales très variées.
